Palo Alto County Conservation Board holds its regular monthly business meetings the 2nd Thursday of each month.  Meetings are held at 1 pm at the Farm Service Agency in Emmetsburg.
Conservation Board Members:
Don Hagen Don Hagen, Cylinder
Don farms near Cylinder and works part time at the NRCS office in Emmetsburg.  Don is active in the Algona Archery.  Don has served on the Board since 2002.

 

Tony Streit, West Bend
Chairman
Tony farms near West Bend and has served on the Board since 2002.

 

Jack Parisi, Emmetsburg
Vice Chairman
Jack is from Emmetsburg and is a state certified Paramedic Specialist and works for the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.  Jack is an avid sportsman and enjoys hunting and fishing.  He is President of the Palo Alto County Pheasants Forever Chapter and serves on multiple boards/committees local and state-wide.  Jack has served on the Board since 2003.

Gary Hughes, Emmetsburg
Secretary
 

Gary and his wife Marilyn moved to Emmetsburg in 1966.  Gary worked at the Iowa Trust & Savings Bank.  They have two girls Brenda and Julie who graduated from Emmetsburg High School.  Brenda lives in Spencer with her husband Mark Bauermeister and their two children.  Julie lives in Clear Lake with her husband Darron Jones and their two children.  Gary retired from the bank last year and enjoys time with grand children.  Gary also enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling and most outdoor activities.  Gary joined the Board in January 2005.
Darrin Adams, Emmetsburg
Darrin is a police office with the Emmetsburg Police Department.  He and his wife Tricia have lived near Emmetsburg for the past 12 years.  They have two children.  Darrin enjoys hunting, motorcycling, woodworking and spending time with his family.  He is Chairman for the Palo Alto County Pheasants Forever, and has been a hunter safety instructor for the past 8 years.  Darrin joined the Board in July 2007.
